Trondheim tour on Wednesday June 22
Conference attendees are welcome to join our specially crafted Local Tour, which will take you inside two exciting manufacturing facilities in Trondheim. You will also enjoy a networking lunch at a special Trondheim restaurant, and don’t be surprised to see snippets from the rich history and sights of Trondheim along the way.
For millennia, people have thrived in the Trondheim area. It has been a strategic center for commerce, religion and politics for centuries – as evidenced by the rich Viking history of the city. Established as a market place in year 997 AD by Viking King Olav Tryggvason, Trondheim is one of Norway’s oldest cities and first capital – and is still today a hub for industry, research and commerce in the Mid-Norway region. Join us to see how Vikings create value for both industrial and consumer markets in 2016.
Factory visits
The tour will begin at Sandvik Teeness, a world-leading manufacturer of specially dampened tools, and we conclude the tour at the venerable chocolate and confectionary factory of Nidar, part of Orkla Confectionery & Snacks.
