For millennia, people have thrived in the Trondheim area. It has been a strategic center for commerce, religion and politics for centuries – as evidenced by the rich Viking history of the city. Established as a market place in year 997 AD by Viking King Olav Tryggvason, Trondheim is one of Norway’s oldest cities and first capital – and is still today a hub for industry, research and commerce in the Mid-Norway region. Join us to see how Vikings create value for both industrial and consumer markets in 2016.

Factory visits

The tour will begin at Sandvik Teeness, a world-leading manufacturer of specially dampened tools, and we conclude the tour at the venerable chocolate and confectionary factory of Nidar, part of Orkla Confectionery & Snacks. In-between the visits you will experience the beautiful sights and rich history of Trondheim with the help of our excellent guides, and enjoy a scenic networking lunch at Kristiansten Fortress overlooking the city.
